Lencioni’s Five Dysfunctions of a Team

Patrick Lencioni took the world of business by storm when he launched his ground breaking book, the Five Dysfunctions of a Team.

If you’re serious about committing to developing high performing teams within your organisation this model has to be part of the process.  We have successfully applied this model to numerous teams as part of a high performance of collaborative working project.

The challenge is turning all 5 dysfunctions into positive characteristics of your team.  Given terms like ‘Conflict’ and ‘Accountability’ tend to send most people running to the hills, this is where expert faciliatation is essential to your success.

Lencioni & High Performing Teams

How do you know what your team performance level is?  Most teams would like to think they are doing rather well in terms of their performance.  We often see teams claim to be achieving great results, yet when we look more closely, their is an absence of trust, a fear of conflict, a lack of commitment and an avoidance of accountability.  How can a team be a high performing team if all these dysfunctions are present?  The simple answer is…it can’t be.

How we use Lencioni within Workshop Facilitation

Team Assessment

From our very first interaction with you we want to understand your Outcomes.  Not simply what you want a workshop to do but what you want to achieve long after we have facilitated your workshop.

We design our entire process to achieve your Outcome.  We take your Present State and through a number of different steps move you towards your Desired State.  All our facilitation processes and questions are underpinned by NLP patterns.

We’re able to Match and Mirror the dynamic of your group.  We then create a shift in our physiology and psychology to trigger a shift in the group.  Because we’ve built rapport and tested this, when we shift your group wll follow us.
